I Lost A Pet

If you have lost a pet, take these steps:

#1 - Click here to view the most recent lost pets who have come to the shelter.

#2 - Click here to view pets who have been in the shelter for 3 days or more.

#3 - Check the Lost & Found Pet Map below.

#4 - File a lost pet report using the link below.

#5 - Post a photo of your pet and as much info as possible on websites and social media. (See below)

#6 - Post flyers in the neighborhood where your pet was last seen.

#7 - Text "LOST" to 833-978-3916 to get free advice and resources to help find your pet.

#8 - Go to the actual animal shelters in your community and look for your pet in-person. (See below)

#9 - Ask local animal rescue organizations if they have seen your pet. (See below)

#10 - Don't give up! In most cases, committed owners who follow these steps can find their pet!

* Most lost pets are typically found or picked up within 1,000 feet from where they were last seen.

If you don’t see your pet listed online at any of our local shelters, don’t lose hope. The best way to find out if your pet is in a shelter is to visit in person and look through the kennels yourself. Sometimes pets aren’t listed right away, or photos/descriptions may not be a perfect match — your own eyes are the best tool to use when your pet is missing.
