Every year, thousands of animals in Kern County wait for their forever homes, and together, we can make a life-changing difference. On Saturday, November 14, 2026, we’re organizing a one-day event to connect hundreds of homeless and abandoned pets with loving families. With your support, we can give these animals the second chance they deserve while showcasing your business to thousands of local animal lovers.
The 8th annual Kern Mega Adoption Event is a one-day pet adoption and resource extravaganza held in Kern County. Participating California animal shelters, pet rescues, and vendors that produce pet-related products bring adoptable pets and resources together at one location to offer potential and current pet parents the opportunity to take home a dog or cat at a reduced adoption fee, and to spoil their own pets with a host of locally provided pet care products. Most animals available for adoption are ready to take home that day and are fixed and fully vaccinated.
The event is free to the public and will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 11am until 4pm.

Although we have come a long way over the past few years, healthy pets are still being put down each year because there isn’t enough space in our shelters to care for them. Our county has a wealth of people dedicated to animal welfare and remarkable rescue groups and shelters. By working together, we can achieve our common goal: more pets in more loving homes. By placing animals in homes, we free up shelter space. Together, we can realize our ultimate goal: to make Kern County an area where no healthy animals are euthanized.

We are inviting pet-related vendors, local businesses, community organizations, and food vendors to join us for this exciting community event. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your business while supporting animal welfare efforts throughout Kern County and beyond.
Vendor spaces are available in 10X10 and 10X20 sizes, and each participating vendor will receive mention in the event on-site guide. Sponsors are also offered vendor space and are not required to donate a raffle item, although they are welcome to. Vendors may sell any item that does not violate the terms and conditions of the event.
Food and beverage vendors are especially encouraged to apply.
